To scroll vertical in a Browser I always hold down the left button beneath the touchpad and used my other fingers to scroll, but what I wanted is just a space on the touchpad which I could use to “swipe” en scroll vertical.

The other area could then be used to control the mouse.

A colleague of my showed me, this could be done since the middle ages, just use the driver of you’re touch pad.

Go to Start > Control Panel > Mouse:

Click on [Settings…]

Click on Virtual Scrolling > Scrolling Region and set the with of the area which will be used to scroll vertical or horizontal. In for example you’re browser.

Note

– Every Touchpad manufacturer will have it’s own driver and driver settings, so the screen dumps might not reflect you’re settings.

– I also disabled tabbing and removed the tray icon from the taskbar
