Example

Team A (less columns, then statuses)

Backlog | Active | Done

 

Team B (more columns, then statuses)

Backlog | UAT | Development | Code Review | Test | Done

 

Because both Kanban boards use the same statuses under the covers, queries and reports can span multiple teams.
